Serving Southern Vancouver Island since 1986.

Long-Time Running

With over 38 years of masonry experience, owner and operator, Martin Swift, has employed his ingenuity to create original designs and custom concrete work. Where he can, Martin also works to maintain local integrity in sourcing materials from Sooke, Shawnigan Lake and Salt Spring Island.

Family Values

Martin Swift Construction has been built on family values; wife, Siuti, and children, Mason, Sachi, Kiana, and Hunter have all worked with Martin in creating lasting masonry work that beautifies both residential and public properties around Southern Vancouver Island. Giving back to the community is also significant to Martin's character and values. Over the years, he has worked on several community projects, such as building the Shirley Community Association and Shirley Fire Department’s Memorial Pavillion, the Sooke Region Museum & Visitor Centre’s outdoor kitchen and chimney, the Sooke MgGregor Park's stone pillar entryway, and Roche Cove Regional Park’s staircase.

Award-Winning Work

Martin is a proud affiliate member of the Masonry Heater Association of North America (MHA) and the Masonry Heater and Bake Oven industry. Martin was awarded first and second place in the MHA’s 2015 Bake Oven Design/Build Contest. Earlier this year, he was awarded second place in the MHA’s 2019 Bake Oven Design/Build Contest and second place in the Brickwork Masonry Design/Build Contest. Martin’s work has also been featured and recognized in the Times Colonist, Outdoor Casual, and the Sooke News Mirror.
